tl;dr:
This is a forum for iOS games written by Jay Luo.
Long version:
I'm a computer programmer in Real Life, where I work for a defense contractor writing military training applications. This is a pretty cool job, but I'm a huge nerd so I end up programming in my spare time too. I've been using and enjoying my iPod, iPad and iPhone for some time now and in mid-2013 I decided I should learn how to program them. I love computer games, so I've decided to try and write some iOS games.
When I was about ready to submit my first game to the Apple store, one of the requirements was to have a support web site. Thus I have started this forum.
About Jay
In ancient pre-history (AKA "the 80s") I wrote BBS games in Applesoft Basic for the Land of the Lost BBS based on Belmont, California. In real life I went to college, and was briefly a teaching assistant and then an instructor for the Johns Hopkins CTY program.
In the mid-90s I wrote game mechanics and game content in LPC (an object oriented variant of C) for Ancient Anguish LPMUD, a text-based online role playing game. Meanwhile in real life I was a research assistant for a bit, then went into the financial industry to write programs for processing credit reports.
In 2010 I wrote the Emerald Empire facebook game in PHP with embedded SQL, a browser based clicky game with role playing aspects. In real life I was (and still am) writing shooting games (uhh...I mean...training simulations) for military and police.
Now I'm trying to learn Objective C and write iPhone games for fun.
